The Deputy Prime Minister of the Economy and member of the presidium of the Sacred Union, Vital Kamerhe, acknowledges the potential of the newly appointed Prime Minister, Judith Sumunwa.

After a meeting on Thursday, April 11, 2024, with her as part of consultations with different political forces regarding the formation of the new government, he supported: “I would like to reiterate my congratulations to Madam Prime Minister Judith Suminwa whom I already knew in the Ecofin Commission as one of the most brilliant ministers comprising this important government committee which includes no less than 12 ministers. I am glad that intelligence and competence have been utilized in the appointment of a woman to this position”.

For the president of the Union for the Congolese Nation (UNC), she is a woman with a background, she will not work alone but with other women and men so that the government team is united around the objectives set by the President of the Republic.

Vital Kamerhe further noted: “We believe that our country, with its natural and human resources, with Madame Judith Suminwa, if indeed we all give her the chance to govern without too many interferences, she will bring about change”.

On the same Thursday, Judith Suminwa also met with members of the political grouping Alliance of Democratic Forces of Congo and Allies (AFDC-A) of Bahati Lukwebo, and the Movement for the Liberation of Congo (MLC) of Jean-Pierre Bemba.
