Before the military and police officers, the Chief of General Staff warned the elements of the defense and security forces against any betrayal.

"You do not have the right to betray your country. Anyone who does will pay for it in one way or another," warned General Christian Tshiwewe.

He revealed that some of the officers had attempted to do so in Lubumbashi and were arrested and then transferred to Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

"You have no interest in collaborating with the enemy [...]. In Lubumbashi, we arrested army and police officers, they are here in Kinshasa for treason," he added.

The Chief of Staff of the FARDC also conveyed to the army and the police the greetings of the Supreme Commander, President Félix Tshisekedi, who, according to him, had wanted to participate in this parade but was not in Kinshasa.

"The Supreme Commander is not in Kinshasa," reminds General Christian Tshiwewe. "I spoke to the head of state. We should hold this parade while he is in Kinshasa, as he was not here, we should not have it [...] As he is in Kinshasa, he asked me to faithfully convey his message. He instructed me to come and talk to you and has sent his greetings," he reported.

He then started his communication on 5 points, including the reminder of the missions of the Police and the Army.
