The Congolese Minister for Digital Affairs, Cashmir Kolongele, noted on Wednesday to the ACP, during the reception of the Greek Pope at the N'djili International Airport in Kinshasa, that Theodore II will offer prayers for peace in the DRC and for the country's authorities. He is very concerned about the unjust war imposed on the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
"I am here representing the Head of State Félix Tshisekedi and Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama. And we believe that the religious dimension of this prestigious visitor will certainly, in this period of Easter, be accompanied by prayers so that peace quickly returns to the east of our country," he indicated.
For Cashmir Kolongele, "This visit is also an honor for the DRC (...) given that the country is open to all religious currents that promote democracy in particular. And we believe that he (the pope) will carry a message of peace that he will deliver during religious ceremonies and during the ordination of priests from his church," the minister clarified.
