The deployment of this medical equipment caused widespread joy upon its arrival on Monday at the general reference hospital of Zongo. The unloading and storing were initiated under the supervision of a provincial elected representative of the city of Zongo, Coco Mbanzi, who personally committed himself to recover this presidential donation and to bring it to its destination.

This elected official expressed his satisfaction upon seeing the surgical block become modern. "We tell the Zongo population to be vigilant, to no longer go to get treated in Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR). From now on, our hospital is well equipped," he stated. When asked about the delay in the delivery, the managing doctor of the Zongo HGR explained that it could be due to transport means but also to the involvement of qualified engineers for the installation of these equipments. Out of the 37 tons of medical equipment meant for the city of Zongo, a part still remains in transit at Lisala.

This batch was part of the 100 days program of the first term of the head of state and the promise he had made during his stay in this city in 2019. This program was launched by President Félix Tshisekedi since March 2, 2019, announcing emergency actions in the security, political, social, health, economic, infrastructure, and youth sectors. This project experienced several hiccups and misappropriation of funds in their phases of materialization, leading to several trials and judicial convictions.
