According to the coordinator of the Rflap, Grâce Israëlla Kangundu Ngyke, female candidates from all political tendencies and at all levels of the election must maintain a calm state of mind in the face of success or failure.

"As mothers of humanity, givers and guardians of life, female candidates must be the first to demonstrate fairness and exemplary conduct for a peaceful resolution of the ongoing electoral process," Grace Ngyke suggested.

She added: "Male candidates should also adopt the same attitude as a good family man to send a message of responsibility to the younger generations."

This women's leadership body considers that candidates who have not been placed usefully according to the provisional results are not unsuccessful candidates. They have contributed to the advancement of our democracy.

Furthermore, the Rflap calls for these candidates to resort to the justice system to resolve electoral disputes. As major political actors, they must refrain from spreading messages of hate and division before, during, and after the release of the results.

However, Grace Ngyke reassures the female candidates of her support until the end of the electoral process. As for those who will be elected, she invites them to realise the magnitude of the work they will undertake within parliament on behalf of the population.
