“We only have this country, we must fight to the ultimate sacrifice to restore the image of our army, but also to prove ourselves worthy in the eyes of the other populations of the world”, declared the provincial authority, in his words of encouragement to these soldiers and the brave Wazalendo group.

On one hand, the military governor wanted to assess the evolution of the situation prevailing in this part of the province in order to get a firsthand look and check if all the orders of the operation commander had been properly followed and to ensure if there are needs that require urgent or imminent intervention.

He also raised the issue concerning the displacement of the populations from Sake, while affirming that the concern of the operation commander and even that of the head of state, the Supreme Commander of the FARDC, is for the population of Sake to be able to return quickly because they are living in very precarious conditions.

“We are in the process of consolidating peace. Once we ensure that security is restored, the population will return. We want it to be immediate, as soon as possible”, General Peter Cirimwami stated.
