The artist Ferre Gola electrified the enclosed venue of Adidas Arena by performing in front of 13,359 spectators on the first day of the concert, Saturday, April 20, 2024. "Jésus des nuances" did what he knows best: sing! For nearly 3 hours, "Chair de poule" sent shivers down the spines of the thousands of music lovers who came to attend the concert. As has been his custom for some time, the singer started the evening with a song dedicated to the victims of the armed conflicts in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
This Congolese region has, for around three decades, been facing stark insecurity due to the activism of armed groups including the M23, which is militarily supported by Rwanda and present in several localities of North Kivu. This rebellion was joined by the former president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Corneille Nangaa.
Ferre Gola then continued the second day in the same venue with other invited artists including Koffi Olomidé, French singer Barbara Pravi, and Hiro.
