These rebels reportedly pulled back to other hills overlooking the town of Minova in Kalehe territory, in the South Kivu province, according to local sources. On the other hand, the humanitarian situation remains concerning in the said region, which has seen an influx of displaced persons coming from various localities of Masisi, at a time when Minova was not spared from the threat of clashes.

Indeed, this same Monday, a relative calm has been observed at the frontline of Minova in South Kivu, and Bweremana in North Kivu, after heavy weapon battles between M23/RDF, FARDC, and the local armed groups.
