The acting military governor of North Kivu, Major General Peter Chirimwami, launched the campaign named "I love my country, I support the FARDC" on Saturday, November 19.

He launched it in Goma, the capital of the province, during a ceremony in front of various sectors of the population including women's associations and civil society.

This campaign is a means to fight against "the demonization and demoralization of the troops," the provincial authority indicated.

Governor Chirimwami Nkuba has thus called on the population to stop criticizing the army on social networks:

For her, "being patriotic is not just a slogan but it must be a reality for the entire Congolese people."

Isabelle Pendeza has made a patriotic call to the Congolese people because, she said, "we only have one country to protect and defend."

On this occasion, the president of the women's associations of North Kivu donated a sum of money as a contribution towards the purchase of food for the soldiers engaged at the front.
