The governor of North Kivu, General Peter Cirimwami, has banned the circulation of vehicles with tinted windows on Tuesday, February 19.

Vehicle owners with these features have 72 hours from Tuesday, February 20, to comply with this regulation and respect the authority's measure.

In an official message, the governor has instructed all security services to enforce this security measure.

According to him, tinted windows represent a source of insecurity, based on reports from specialized services.

"Violators will be subject to the full force of the law," the message specifies.
