To flee the bombings that are becoming more and more frequent and to find new sites to benefit from humanitarian care, thousands of households have been leaving the overcrowded camps of Rusayo 1 and 2, Lushagala and Bulengo, as well as other informal sites for the past two months, to settle in this new site.

In less than a month, the number of households at the new Rusayo 3 site has increased from nearly 7,000 to 23,000, according to MSF, and this camp, it continues, houses around 100,000 people. This organization recently set up an advanced health post for the medical care of the displaced, and at this post, dozens of mothers come every day with their malnourished children for a consultation.

Dr. Jean-Paul Kasolwa, who is in charge of MSF's activities at the Rusayo 3 site, explains that since the establishment of this advanced health post, several new patients are being received: "Every day, at least 100 sick people in difficult situations arrive here according to the members of the committee of this site."

Furthermore, Médecins Sans Frontières recently distributed basic necessities, consisting of tarpaulins, blankets, and kitchen utensils to 7,000 households settled on the mentioned site.

However, the NGO MSF is making an urgent appeal to international solidarity to meet the enormous needs of these displaced families in order to offer them a minimum level of dignity and hope in these extremely precarious living conditions.
