These three murder cases were reported on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, in the city of Goma in the province of North Kivu, where gunshots were heard from 6 p.m. to dawn, thus disturbing the sleep of the peaceful citizens of several neighborhoods of the communes of Karisimbi and Goma.


The population of the commune of Karisimbi is currently going through a very difficult time due to burglaries, harassment of all kinds, shootings, murders, denounced the president of the Karisimbi civil society, Christian Kalamo, in the city of Goma, "we also have a right to security," he exclaimed, calling on authorities to put an end to these atrocities.


He said that he was pleased with the measure taken by the provincial governor, banning the circulation of uncontrolled men in uniform in the city of Goma.


However, he affirms, armed men continue to move about in Goma, Christian Kalamo pointed out, particularly in bistros and other public places, thereby putting civilians at risk.
