Six seats have been reserved for the Majority, and only one for the Opposition. This is how the deputies decided during the plenary session on Wednesday, April 17, during which they considered the issue of the distribution of posts within the permanent bureau, after deliberations.

The parliamentary majority claimed the lion's share with key positions including that of the president, the 1st vice-president, the 2nd vice-president, the rapporteur, the treasurer, and the deputy treasurer.

Regarding the political opposition, it has been granted only the position of deputy rapporteur.

As a reminder, the provisional office of the National Assembly had proposed the establishment of a parity commission composed of 31 members, with 16 from the majority and 15 from the opposition, tasked with deciding on the distribution of the remaining 7 positions within the permanent bureau of the National Assembly.

Thus, the National Assembly will proceed with the process of electing the permanent bureau, according to a schedule to be established by the provisional office.

It should be noted that the opposition counts 28 deputies in the National Assembly.
