The President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, and the Congolese government express their sympathy for the victims at the site of Mugunga near Goma in the North Kivu province, who suffered from bombings by M23 supported by the Rwandan army.

Before his departure with his colleague the Minister of Human Rights, Fabrice Puela, and five members of parliament to this city, the Minister of Social Affairs, Solidarity and Humanitarian Actions, Modeste Mutinga, stated: "We are going to Goma, the provincial capital of North Kivu, the Minister of Human Rights, Fabrice Puela, and myself (...) with firstly moral support, to convey the compassion of the Head of State Félix Tshisekedi and the government to the populations victims of bombardments by the Rwandan army at Mugunga, acting under the cover of the M23.

It is about food and non-food items, shelters, and health care supplies." Regarding this matter, the honorable Patrick Munyomo, a member of parliament for Goma, emphasized: "The deputies who are part of the delegation want to monitor this situation and at the same time ensure that this government aid has reached the affected individuals. It is also about expressing sympathy with this population who has granted him and his fellow elected colleagues a legislative mandate at the national parliament."

He has condemned these bombings launched by the country's enemy, M23, supported by Rwanda, which have killed people in Mugunga.
