On this matter, the Court of Appeal of this province declared the petition from the political alliance Action des Alliés (A/A-UNC) challenging the election of Grâce Bilolo, admissible but unfounded.

On his part, the incumbent governor Guy Bandu, refuses and insists on contesting the election of the one who was his deputy governor, citing irregularities during the vote. Perhaps he will be able to attempt his last resort by taking the matter to the Council of State.

It should be recalled that the governors' elections took place on April 29th, and Grâce Bilolo won with 23 votes out of 40 voters, against 16 votes for Guy Bandu Ndungidi.
