Dr. Jean-Claude Batalekuau, chief medical officer of the Kimpese health zone in Kongo-Central province, has issued a call for the renovation of the general reference hospital of the IME.
"Patients are confined in rooms in poor conditions, due to rains that flood the wards because of the lack of roofs torn off by tornadoes," stated the doctor.
He made this appeal for the repair of the roofs of this medical facility. Dr. Batalekuau also explained that despite this natural disaster, no human lives were lost. It was only computers, medical equipment, and documents that were damaged.
