The organization "A New Day" issued a call for mobilization on Thursday, February 29, to social groups, churches, and the entire community as a whole to assist displaced families located at various sites around Goma.

This call to action followed a visit by the organization to the Lushagala displaced persons camp in the Mugunga district of Goma. According to the founder of "A New Day," Pastor Camille Ntoto, the living conditions of these families are inhumane and should be a matter of concern for the entire community.

The ordeal of the war displaced must be felt firsthand, seen with one's own eyes to understand the extent of suffering these families endure, added Pastor Camille Ntoto.

These individuals lack clean drinking water, shelter, food, and all basic necessities, he explained.

During this visit, the organization "New Day" was able to provide assistance to at least 2000 families with food and non-food items collected thanks to contributions from families, its staff, and other benevolent individuals.
