This publication comes four days after the end of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations held in Côte d'Ivoire. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is ranked 12th in Africa and 64th in the world. Despite its prestigious 4th place finish at the CAN 2023, the DRC has only gained one place in Africa and four in the world. Côte d'Ivoire, the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champion, is ranked 5th in Africa while Morocco, despite a disappointing CAN, remains at the forefront of the continent and holds the 12th place in the world.
