Felix Tshisekedi, candidate number 20 in the presidential election, promised on Saturday, December 16th, to build a modern university in the city of Bandundu (Kwilu) if he is elected for a second term.

The incumbent President made this promise during his electoral campaign rally in that city, in front of a crowd of militants and supporters who came to listen to him at the official podium of the ONATRA camp.

Felix Tshisekedi once again made several promises in various areas, for the benefit of the population, if the latter grants him a second term as President of the Republic.

The candidate for his own succession, Félix Tshisekedi, indicated that once re-elected, he will extend the free provision of medical care to include other health services in addition to maternity care, which is currently underway.

He also promised to do the same with free education. It would extend from basic education to secondary education.

According to candidate number 20, he will continue the construction of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities as part of the local development program of 145 territories. He added that water and electricity will be supplied in each territory.

Felix Tshisekedi also promised employment to young people who, according to him, will replace public service agents and executives who are being retired.

Before this electoral rally, Felix Tshisekedi had never set foot in the city of Bandundu during the five years he has led the country. He was warmly welcomed there by a crowd of residents.

In the greater Bandundu region, candidate number 20 began his campaign last Friday in Kikwit, before continuing the next day to the town of Idiofa and Inongo in Maindombe, before arriving in Bandundu, on the same Saturday.
