Found dead in his vehicle on July 13, 2023, and his body riddled with bullets, Member of Parliament Chérubin Okende had committed suicide, according to the theory provided by the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation. This conclusion comes as part of an investigation surrounding the death of the former Minister of Transport and Communication Channels.
The day before his death, Chérubin Okende went to the Constitutional Court to submit a letter. He would be declared missing by his relatives in the evening of that same day. And the next day, he was found dead in his vehicle, on Poids lourd Avenue, near the Gombe district, in the north of Kinshasa.
