For the writer Didier Mumengi, Professor Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem has made an invaluable contribution to the humanities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a result, he has submitted a significant request to the Minister of Scientific Research, Gilbert Kabanda, that the National Pedagogic University be renamed in honor of Professor Isidore Ndaywel. This is in recognition of his priceless contributions to scientific research, literature, and education in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Didier Mumengi has asked Minister Gilbert Kabanda to take all the necessary steps so that, from the 22nd of September 2024, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of its foundation, the National Pedagogic University bears the name of Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem.

According to Senator Didier Mumengi, Professor Ndaywel has helped to elevate human thought and the use of intelligence to a remarkable level. "Thank God for making you Congolese," he sighed, showing a sentiment of national gratitude for the professor's achievements.

If accepted, this proposal would represent a lasting tribute to the memory of Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem, by inscribing his name in the history of education in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Author of "Congo in the Hurricane of History," published in November 2019 by L'Harmattan, 80-year-old Isidore Ndaywel has not stopped recounting the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo in many of its aspects, but especially political. He is also the author of "The Difficult Truths of the Contemporary History of the Great Lakes" where he discusses the metastases of the Rwandan genocide of 1994 which are still felt in the Great Lakes region. A history of genocide that had terrible human consequences in Rwanda, but also in the Democratic Republic of Congo where the aftermath is even more enduring. He is also the author of several essays, studies, and works on the history of Congo, among which "The General History of Congo: From Ancient Heritage to the Democratic Republic."

Emeritus Professor at the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), Isidore Ndaywel è Nziem is an emblematic figure of Congolese thought. He is a member of multiple associations and scholarly societies across Africa and the world. He has been honored with multiple awards and distinctions, reflecting his dedication to the advancement of the humanities and his contribution to the cultural and intellectual heritage of the DRC and beyond. He has also taught at the Marien-Ngouabi University in the Republic of Congo, at Laval University in Canada, and in France.
