These unfortunate parents say that their children risk failing these exams due to the lack of payment of participation fees required by schools, because on the eve of the start of the certifying exams, these displaced people, having found refuge in Bandundu, express their dissatisfaction, not knowing which saint to turn to. This is why they are calling for the intervention of the relevant authorities. Unfortunately, their requests have been rejected by the Provincial Chief Inspector of EPST/Kwilu 1, Jean-Pierre Kasonga.

The latter has denied these allegations. According to him, these displaced children do not pay anything to take part in these exams. He clarified that being a group of fourteen, they are exempt from all fees related to their schooling.

Moreover, it should be noted that in the Kwilu province, the fees for participating in out-of-session tests of the 2024 State Examination amount to 72,000 Congolese francs, equivalent to 26 USD.
