The fifth edition of Sultani Makutano, an international economic forum will soon be held in Kinshasa, from September 6th to 7th, 2019 at the Kempinski Fleuve Congo Hotel. According to the organizers, preparations are well underway.

Among the topics that will be discussed during this forum, there is the law on subcontracting, under the theme "subcontracting, a law and after?".

According to the programs of activities, it will be a question of making a kind of inventory and coming out of recommendations to the stakeholders to allow each one of them to better take advantage of this law in force since January 2007

One will think on where are we almost two years later, Congolese companies have been able to position themselves in some key sectors, have new partners a seat? Do the majors of the mining industry play the game? These are questions put by the organizers of the forum.

What is also important to know is that the law makes it compulsory to reserve the subcontracting of ancillary and related activities of the main mining activity to Congolese companies with Congolese fund. And this- in order to promote it and thus promote the emergence of a Congolese middle class

The Sultani Makutano Forum is organized every year in Kinshasa to facilitate trade and investment in order to stimulate economic growth.

It is a forum in which participants, including public and private business leaders, domestic and foreign investors and business people gather around a common interest to share experiences with their peers and identify opportunities and partnerships.
