The provincial division of the social Affairs of North-Kivu announced that hundreds of children of Goma and surroundings were separated from their families at the time of the volcanic eruption of Nyiragongo which occurred last saturday.

He adds that provincial division of the social Affairs of North-Kivu coordinates the actions in favour of the children with all the partners, in particular the MONUSCO and the UNICEF.

Domitila Rusimbuka, head of division of the social affairs in North-Kivu, added that all these children sought to put themselves at the shelter while their parents missed house. These children came from several districts of Goma and the surroundings.

He launched a call to all the population of the area so that all those which keep these children, announce it to the competent structures; in particular the Red Cross, Divas or to bring them at the stage of the Unit of Goma.

He in addition announced that the children who crossed to Rwanda will be recovered by the CICR, before specifying that these children are recorded starting from Miniva, Shasha, Sake, Bweremana.

Domitila Rusimbuka let know that the CICR will be occupied some with CICR/Kigali to facilitate the return of these children, because of others among them knew accidents in wandering for lack of welcome families.

Radiookapi announces that the responsible for the provincial division of the social Affairs informs that approximately 250 children are temporarily lodged in families, while waiting to find their parents. Among them, there are four children who have less than one year and young child has only three months.
