It should be noted that, this batch of 110 buses comes to supplement to 440 the number of renewed buses automobile cartage of this company of the State including 330 new buses had already been launched in the town of Kinshasa like on the interurban network (Kinshasa-Matadi - Boma and Kinshasa-Kikwit) on February 13, 2021 by the president of the Republic, Felix Tshisekedi.
Ceremony took place in the presence of the delegations of the ministry in charge of public means of conveyance, the General Manager of Transco, Mrs. the Mayor of the town of Boma and several other partners of the Government in the transport sector.
For this purpose, an official report of reception was read and signed by the Members of the ad hoc Commission in charge of the follow-up of the file.
For recall, a contract was concluded in 2019 with SMT firm for acquisition of 440 buses made with the specifications having to allow the company to launch the activities of Transco, to practically fall in bankruptcy since 2017, after its creation in 2013, with a beginning of 500 buses.
However, a contract of after-sales service for 2 years duration and 18 containers of spare parts are available, according to the ministry of public means of conveyance.
