The South-African doctors noted an evolution of the epidemiologic landscape, in particular with younger patients, without comorbidity, which develop serious forms of the disease. The team of South-African researchers shared her observations with the scientific community. She alerted the United Kingdom of the identification of the South-African alternative, which allowed to the British researchers to study their own samples and to find a similar alternative, potentially involved in the galloping transmission observed in certain zones of the country.

The British government announced Saturday a new confining of London and the south-east of England as of Sunday.

In DRC, the epidemiologic situation for the day of Saturday makes state of 98 new confirmed cases (74 in Kinshasa, 16 in Kongo-Central, 5 in the South-Kivu and 3 in Haut-Katanga) on 561 tested samples. A new case of death was recorded in Kinshasa, 137 new people are cured (134 in Kinshasa and 3 in Tshopo).

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the plurality office of the cases is 15,495, including 15,494 confirmed cases and 1 probable case. On the total, there were 370 deaths (369 confirmed cases and 1 probable case) and 13,447 cured people.
