The president of the democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Felix Tshisekedi, arrived on Wednesday at Brazzaville for a work visit with his colleague of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou N’Gesso.

President Tshisekedi arrived in the afternoon by Brazzaville Beach where he was welcomed by his congolese colleague, Denis-Sassou N’Guesso.

During this work visit of 48 hours, the two Heads of State will have a tête à tête talk. Heads of State, Tshisekedi and N’Guesso, will then carry out an evaluation of the bilateral and co-operation agreements between the two countries, according to local sources.

In addition, they will have to consider the questions of peace and safety in the Great Lake Areas. This visit in Congo is the third for Felix Tshisekedi since his arrival to the power in 2019.

If nothing still filtered officially on the contents of the exchanges between the two personalities, it is important to note that this meeting intervenes in a particular context characterizedby the pandemia of covid-19 which prevails in several countries of the world including both Congo.

According to certain diplomatic sources, the two heads of States have spoken about the pandemia of the coronavirus and in particular evoked on this subject the nearest reopening of the borders between the two countries, closed for approximately a quarter within the framework of the medical urgently state issued in the whole world.
