For several days, a letter carrying like object "My resignation" allotted to the president of the constitutional Court and president of the higher Council of the magistrature has circulated in the social networks. Benoit Lwamba, president of the Constitutional Court, denies this news. He qualifies them of "rumours."

"Contrary with the information broadcasted, in particular in the social network, give a report on my resignation of presidency of constitutional Court of Democratic Republic of Congo, I specify that it is only of rumour against which I bring a denial", he mentions.

In a correspondence addressed, Friday July 10, 2020, to his colleagues judges and consulted, this high-ranking magistrate recalls that he has a mandate which will expire only at April 2021. The former first president of the Supreme Court of justice specifies moreover that he is in stay in Kingdom of Belgium for health care.

Benoit Lwamba Bindu chairs the constitutional Court since 2015. He was re-elected at the head of this high jurisdiction on July 9, 2018 for a mandate of 3 years, in accordance with the Constitution.
