During the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Friday July 3, 2020, the president of the Republic, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi, reconsidered the question of the ratification within the National Assembly, July 2, the new president of the CENI proposed by six of the eight religious confessions.
Felix Tshisekedi promised to personally take care that the procedure of the aforementioned designation is observed for an electoral process which wants to be credible from beginning to the end, according to the report of the Council of Ministers.
The President of the Republic recommended to the various actors intervening in this designation of the organizers of the CENI to take into account the claims of some and others in order to level the sights before any advance in the process.
Movements citizens and other associations of the civil company are spirit to mobilize itself to dispute in the street the choice of Ronsard Malonda. The UDPS, the presidential party, announce a great protest march on next 9 July.
