At During the exchange held on Monday June 29, 2020 between the Prime Minister Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba and the director of the operations of the World Bank Christophe Carret, it arises that this institution of Bretton Woods wants to support the cleaning up, the electrification and the drinkable water conveyance in Kinshasa.

This project of financing relates to only most underprivileged districts of the province city of Kinshasa and will be put at execution that in condition where the congolese government undertakes reform as regards management of public finance.

Another problem mentioned by Christophe Carret, the sum of an American billion dollar remaining to absorb out of 2,6 billion that its institution engaged in favour of Kinshasa.

To believe him, the World Bank, through his administration, for two years, has already succeeded in engaging US 2,6 billion in favour of the RDC within the framework of new projects centered on the human development such as education, health and social protection allowing to come in support to the most vulnerable. But only 1,5 billion dollars were actually engaged and are on standby of ratification at the Parliament.

It should be also known that in term of the future prospects, a possible budgetary support is planned by the World Bank in order to help the DRC to mitigate the economic effects related to Covid 19 pandemia.
