This first task force of a total amount of 1,9 billion dollar is intended to go with 25 countries throughout the world, while new operations installation according to these same procedures of fast withdrawal are being prepared in more than 40 countries. In addition, in the whole of the areas of the world, the World Bank gets busy to redeploy resources in its projects in progress, for a total amount of 1,7 billion dollar, through processes of reorganization, activation of the components of urgently intervention conditional (CERC) and of release of the devices of financing to option of pulling differed in the event of catastrophe (Cat-ddo)

The Group of the World Bank in addition plans to deploy up to 160 billion dollars during 15 next months in order to support the adoption of measures which will help the countries to face the immediate consequences of the pandemia of Covid-19 and to support the recovery of the economy. This broader economic program will aim to accelerate the re-establishment of the countries, to create the favourable conditions with the growth, to support small and medium-sized enterprises and to protect the poorest and vulnerable populations. It will stick in priority to the fight against poverty, the accent being put on the financings in support of reforms and the protection of the most stripped households and the environment.

"The Group of the World Bank launched a general and fast activity to slow down the propagation of the coronavirus, with response operations to the medical crisis already in place or phase of finalization in more than 65 countries, declares David Malpass, president of the World Bank Group. We put all works to reinforce the capacities of the developing countries to face the pandemia of Covid-19 and to allow them to accelerate their economic and social recovery. The poorest and vulnerable countries are likely to be touched hard, and our teams throughout the world have as a priority to bring national and regional solutions to the present crisis."

In reaction to the generalized disorganization in the chains of provisioning, the World Bank helps also the countries to reach the main medical supplies while contacting the suppliers on behalf of the governments. It also encourages other international organizations to give a financial support for the developing countries in order to organize a medical answer adapted to the pandemia of Covid-19.

Our interventions in the countries will be coordinated on a worldwide scale to take care of the fast division of the best practices, in particular with regard to the reinforcement of the national systems of health and their preparation to be able to face the possible new vague of propagation of this virus devastator "
