The experts of WHO based on two principal criteria to determine the countries which are exposed to the invasion of the coronavirus, namely the high rates of contacts and travels between these countries and China where the epidemic appeared one month ago.

It is undoubtedly to counter any possibility that the World Health Organization (WHO) would like to build a center of insulation to deal with any suspect case of coronavirus on the level of the international airport of N’djili, in Kinshasa. The WHO’s teams have, with this intention, went on Tuesday February 4, on the ground in order to identify a place which could shelter the center.

This structure will allow to initially isolate any suspect case which could be identified at the airport. After first aid, the suspect identified case could be led to another center of Kinkole for the continuation of the suitable care.

To date, no case of coronavirus was recorded in Kinshasa. The prevention being the only weapon to fight against this epidemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) offered more than 500 parts of the disposable masks for the protection of the agents of hygiene to the borders and more than 5000 copies of medical cards to identify the various passengers.

According to Dr. Jean Jacques Muyembe, a congolese expert was sent to Senegal to follow a specialized training on the last techniques of tracking of the coronavirus. From February 9, DRC should have new medical kits (cameras of monitoring, thermometers).
