"The first year of alternation on bottom of tensions FCC-CACH", FORUM DES AS mentions on its front page. The newspaper which reminds that for very first once in the political history of their country since its accession to independence on June 30, 1960, Congolese attended a civilized transfer of the power between two alive presidents on January 24.

However, the daily newspaper notes, it is that the celebration of first year of political alternation in DR Congo, take place in an agitated environment, on bottom of tension between the two camps of the coalition to the power. To know, ‘‘Le Front Commun pour le Congo (FCC)” of honorary President Joseph Kabila and Cap pour le Changement (CACH), platform which belongs to current Head of State, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi.

LA PROSPERITE fears that the extremists of two camps recover this situation. What, according to the tabloid, could lead to a blaze of violence in Kinshasa as in the back-country. Being positive, L’AVENIR notes that a step was crossed, but many remain to be done after this first anniversary of alternation. The newspaper draws up an assessment on the political, economic, diplomatic and social level.

On the political level, the newspaper thinks that alternation was a success because it was necessary to break the curse of transfer of power in the blood which planed on the DRC and pays tribute to outgoing president Joseph Kabila who did not want to pile up again. From the economic point of view, the resumption of the discussions between the congolese government and the International Monetary Fund which led to conclusion of ad referendum agreement on the implementation of the program of reference, in other words, program-test, which is spread out October 2019 like point of reference at the end of May 2020.

As regards the social aspects, the newspaper notes that the people have evil to note the change in his lived daily. On the contrary, the life becomes intolerable, the dollar takes elevator, and the prices of the goods and services on the principal markets became unverifiable.

On the diplomatic level, the tabloid underlines a lull and a noticeable improvement of the relations of the DRC with not only the African countries, but also of other continents. CONGO NOUVEAU notes that the assessment of this anniversary of alternation is positive or negative according to whether one is side of the power or opposition.

At CACH, one retains the releasing of the political prisoners, the return of exiled people, freedom to express, the implementation of the gratuity of schools, the return of the DRC on the international scene… At the opposition, on the other hand, one initially holds up the persistence of the war in Beni, the threats of balkanization…

"The signals of the change", mentions Le PHARE which notes, about this first anniversary of the major facts "heralding of the emergence of the DRC" under Fatshi: release of the political prisoners and return of exiled people, the return on the international scene, 100 days of the emergency program, free payment of school for basic teaching, the budget of 11 billion dollars for 2020 and the advanced staff of the FARDC to Beni.
