The lifting of the body from Cinquantenaire morgue of the mortal remains of comedian artist Chicco Pululu will take place on Saturday 11 January 2020. It will be exhibited at the Velodrome stadium in Kintambo, his municipality of residence.


His burial is planned for Sunday, January 12 at the Nécropole Entre Terre et Ciel (NETC) in the town of N’sele. These details are provided by the Communication Unit of the Kinshasa City Hall.

In addition, this press release announces that the Vice-Governor of the City Province of Kinshasa, Néron Mbungu Mbungu received a delegation of comedian artists who officially informed him of the disappearance of their colleague.

This delegation, which was led by the actor Masumu Debrindé, president of the National Association of Popular Theater and Cinema (ANTPC) and of “troupe Théâtre Plus”, received assurances from number 2 of the city of Kinshasa about the implication of urban authority in the organization of these funerals.

“The Vice-Governor representing the Governor of the city Gentiny NgobilaMbaka reassured this delegation of Congolese comedians of the total support of the Town Hall towards this worthy son of the nation, who knew how to validly represent the Congolese nation in these services with a particular style and which has established positively in this milieu of comedy”, this press release revealed.

Néron Mbungu took the opportunity, on behalf of the Governor, to offer his condolences to the biological family of Chicco Pululu, to his professional family as well as to all the Congolese who have been enlivened by his humor. The actor PULULU died since Monday December 23, 2019 in Kinshasa following a heart attack.
