The Minister of State, Minister of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST), Willy Bakonga Wilima, attends at 40th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ( UNESCO) planned for 12 to 27 November 2019 in Paris, France, according to the communication service of the said ministry.


The priority of the UNESCO Africa group led by Côte d'Ivoire is to conceptualize its action and redefine it to speak the same language in order to defend the interests of the continent at this 40th UNESCO General Conference, explains this source which indicates that the challenge for the UNESCO Africa group is the increase of the budget allocated to education from US 40 to 81 million dollars under the coordination of the African Union and to collect financing to overcome the digital invoice between developed and developing countries in order to obtain other contributions to boost culture, particularly heritage management, emerging technologies.

This work, it adds, will also focus on youth and vocational training, subjects at the heart of everyone's attention to UNESCO.
