It was during a press conference held Thursday, October 17, 2019 by the Congolese Association for Access to Justice (Acaj) with the coalition of deputies invalidated by the Constitutional Court that the president of this NGO of human rights defense, Me Georges Kapiamba spoke about the invalidation matter of 31 deputies.
These invalid deputies claim to be victims of the superposition of the Constitutional Court. Georges Kapiamba pointed out that the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva was seized on October 17 by 16 people from this group of 31, and this body of international law to which the DRC is a signatory has already communicated the complaint of 16 deputies victims to the DRC government with six months date time to respond.
But to preserve the image of the DRC at the international level, the deputies victims and the Acaj have taken the option to manage the case during these six months to find an amicable solution...
