Monusco's spokeswoman, Florence Marchal, held a press conference in Kinshasa on Wednesday, October 16, during which she said she was not involved in the investigations, but she put her material resources to find the light on the Antonov 72 crash matter.

Florence Marchal, reported that her institution supports the Congolese authorities in the search operations following the Antonov crash of the presidency in the territory of Kole, Bankutshu Sector, Okoto village, near Lodja, where the fragments of the plane were found.

She further emphasized that this was only assistance in the context of relief operations, but did not participate in any fact-finding or evaluation mission.

The spokesman of the UN mission let know that the means were made available to the Congolese authorities, at first, to help locate the site, then transport the three bodies that were recovered on Tuesday to Kananga.
