The funeral ceremony of Patriarch Antoine Gizenga will take place this Saturday, September 7 in Buma in the same town of N'sele in the eastern periphery of the city of Kinshasa. The exhumation of his mortal remains resting tentatively in Kindobo, in the same town of N'Sele
  was scheduled this Friday in the morning (around 6h to 9h30).

The exhumation and burial of the body of the Sg of PALU will take place in strict family intimacy but enlarged with some exceptions: "Only the medical and funeral service and some seniors of the party and members of his biological family are concerned for his exhumation phase, PALU coordinator Gabuba Mafu said in a statement. After this ceremony, the procession composed of the hearse and other vehicles of the categories will go directly to Buma, he adds.

The final burial will take place on Saturday 7 September in family intimacy. For this purpose, the Secretary General of PALU, Gizenga Lugi, invites activists, supporters and other Congolese or foreigners to come to honor the memory of this father of the independence of the DRC.

Born in 1925, Antoine Gizenga died on February 24, 2019 in Kinshasa at the age of 94.
 After a dignified official funeral attended by the Head of State, Felix Tshisekedi, and his successor Joseph Kabila in Kinshasa as well as delegations from other countries, his body was provisionally put onn the ground.
