Amos Mbayo held, just before his appointment, the positions of president of the Congolese Olympic Committee (COC) and president of the Congolese handball federation. He was also, not long ago, chairman of the committee of supporters of DC Motema Pembe.

It is thus a man who has the advantage of knowing the Congolese sports very well, because of his experience of manager of several entities which replaces to this position Papy Nyangu, national representative. He also has the advantage of already managing in the ministry of sports as financial adviser.
