The Archbishop of Kinshasa, Bishop Fridolin Ambongo proceeds Thursday at the Place de la Funa in the municipality of Limete, the laying of the first stone of the basilica of his archdiocese and even of all Congo. This information was delivered to the public by his Chancellor, Mgr Georges Njila in a statement read at the St. Anne parish.

According to the statement, the works will begin with the installation of the Elykia Radio of the Archiocese, Elykia Television and Radio Maria and the writing of a written newspaper.

All the Catholic Christians in Kinshasa were waiting for the realization of this project which will not only put an end to the various attempts to plunder this land located opposite the Tata Raphael stadium, but which has become a hotspot for banditry.

Once built, the basilica will also solve the problem of hospitality at major church events such as ordinations that drain large crowds.
