The project to build the Banana deep water port in Kongo Central is of great concern for President of the Re0public, Félix-Antoine Tshisek0ed0i Tshilombo.

For this purpose, he sent to Moanda, the Minister of Land Affairs, Professor Tshibangu Kalalap to inquire about the situation on the ground.

Arrived on the spot, the emissary of the Head of State spoke with the population and decided to take an order to expropriate the site, evaluate the possessions and the houses to be moved for their compensation.

Speaking to the population, Tshibangu Kalala said he was proud "because to date the identification work is completed, the population will be compensated for a value of US eight million dollars".

"We will work well, we will give some money to allow people to move elsewhere to free the site for the start of work", the special envoy of the Head of State said.

In addition to the population, the displacement of the military camp also received the discharge of the senior army official for their relocation. Professor Tshibangu Kalala has thus removed any misunderstanding about this issue on the construction of the deep-water port of Banana and it remains for the population to release the site to allow the company to start the work.

It should be noted that the cost of the work is estimated at US one billion two hundred thousand dollars.
