There is a kind of confusion around the funeral of comedian and dancer Mindondo who died two weeks ago at Kinshasa Reference General Hospital.
According to an artist contacted Friday, the dead body of the deceased was to leave the morgue on Tuesday and will be buried on Wednesday. The confusion is also about the place of her exhibition and burial. Some of her colleagues and fans, the artist explained, would like the funeral of Mindondo taking place in a funeral space in the city while others believe that she does not deserve to be mourned in any place. Hence, they swear by the People's Palace or the esplanade of the Martyrs Stadium where the funeral of other celebrities were also organized.
But the intervention of Masumu Debrindet, president of the National Association of Popular Theater and Cinema (ANTPC) where Mindondo was a member comes to cut short all these rumors.
In a message posted on his facebook page, he writes: "I inform the public that Mindondo's body lift from cinquantenaire hospital will be held on Wednesday and will be exhibited at Martyrs Stadium. The Burial will take place on Thursday at Nécropole entre ciel et terre.
