This forum was organized from 22 to 23 July in Kinshasa in the presence of the Presidents of the Provincial Assemblies and the governors of the provinces, deputies, international partners including Unicef, USAID, WHO, Gavi.

Several commitments have been taken into account in particular. The main one is to ensure, by 2040, at least 80% vaccination coverage for children before their first birthday.
For this, it is necessary to increase and disburse, at the national level, the budget line allocated to vaccination to cover the costs of traditional vaccines, meet the needs of co-financing new vaccines and operational implementation of activities and maintain free vaccination.

It was also decided to insert and disburse, at the provincial level, a budget line allocated to vaccination to ensure the operational implementation of activities with the objective of reaching $ 1 per child to be vaccinated per year. In addition, the political commitment to better governance at central and provincial level should be translated and concretized in order to ensure a high integration of health interventions and to adopt and implement at each level of the State (Presidency , government, province) a strengthening of the vaccination program.

Speaking, the President of the National Assembly, Jeanine Mabunda, who represented the Head of State, reassured that the government, through the Ministry of Health, will ensure that its commitments can be translated into action, especially with regard to the purchase of tr00aditional vaccines and the payment of its partners for the purchase of underused vaccines.

The children of the DRC represented by the "Children reporters" called at the end of this forum, their involvement in all activities related to polio. This forum sponsored by the President of the Republic was organized by the Ministry of Health supported by its partners.
