The French Institute of Kinshasa hosted Saturday the 4th edition of the Festival of Music and Urban Cultures called "Red One", which is dedicated to the performance of young music enthusiasts and other disciplines of popular culture in Kinshasa.

Ms. Stéphanie Suffren, delegate director of said festival, said that this cultural event had the advantage of putting on the same podium the Congolese artists from Kinshasa and those of the diaspora.

According to her, the organization of this 4th edition is a challenge that goes beyond this concept, involving the responsibility and commitment of the organizers to compete with the new international system of music production.

"In this context, artists will have to live their art, while those in the diaspora will want to come back to the country by allowing artists from Kinshasa to export," she said.

The audience attended the performances of artists of various categories like Ya Levis, rising star of Congolese rumba from France, Gally Garvey, Tonny Ndaks, Matt Izi, Dj Dolls Kataleya and the group of rappers "MPR".
