The president of l’Entente urbaine de football of Boma (EUFB), Barthélemy Mbenza Ngoma, asked in an interview Friday with the ACP, the involvement of the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for the reconstruction of the Socol stadium of Boma, currently falls into ruin.

President Mbenza Ngoma, who on this occasion took stock of the progress of the local championship 2018-2019, seized the opportunity to throw, on behalf of the Boma youth sports, this appeal to the Head of State for the rehabilitation of this sports infrastructure, before indicating that the city of Boma, cradle of Congolese football which saw the birth of the first team of the country, the FC Dragons, through the Brothers of the school colony of Boma in 1930, deserves a good stadium worthy of its name.

As for the conduct of the 2018-2019 championship, Barthélémy Mbenza Ngoma said he was satisfied with the progress of the matches, before mentioning that the Boma Entente had a lot of difficulties to pay the officials and face the other expenses, as the championship took place at the unfinished Socol stadium and where the public attended the meetings without paying anything. This stadium was destroyed at the same time as the Matadi stadium, in view of their reconstruction by the provincial authority.
