This quadripartite meeting will be chaired by President Felix Tshisekedi as 2nd Vice President of the African Union. The same sources report that security issues in the Great Lakes region will be on the agenda for this meeting.

It is recalled that relations between Kampala and Kigali have not been good for some time. And Felix Tshisekedi had proposed his mediation to bring these two neighboring countries together to settle their problems for the wellbeing of their respective populations and the sub-region.

It should be recalled, last May 31, a tripartite meeting in Kinshasa during the funeral of Mr. Etienne Tshisekedi gathered the presidents of the DRC, Angola and Rwanda. Security issues were the agenda.
