According to the statement, the program of the stay of Vice President Hafez Ghanem provides for a meeting with the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine TshisekediTshilombo.

In addition to the President of the Republic, the vice-president of the World Bank will respectively have talks with the Minister of Finance, Henri Yav Mulang, with whom he will discuss on development priorities in the framework of the partnership between the DRC and the Bank World. The two personalities will also discuss the question on the prospects of preparing a new cooperation strategy.

The same source states that Mr. Hafez Ghanem will also meet some development partners as well as some civil society and private sector actors, before making a field visit to appreciate the challenges faced by Congolese people to access basic services in the Kinshasa’s townships. It should be noted that this is the second trip that the World Bank Vice President for Africa has made to DRC, in less than a year since taking office on 1 July 2018.
