National deputy Charles Nawej sought the pardon of the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, and all the Congolese people following the serious misunderstanding of the talks made during a plenary session of the National Assembly on June 7, 2019. "Nothing, no one can justify an attack on the highest authority of our country," he said, expressing his regret at being at the origin of this misunderstanding in the national cohesion and reiterates the request for pardon of the nation.

Son of the nation, he stressed, he has never been in the past, nor today and certainly not tomorrow, an actor of his destabilization and the breaking of peace. For this purpose, he insisted that he would not want people to use his fault to establish incompatible agendas for his approach and that of those close to him.

While renewing his oath of patriotic commitment and his most fitting homage to the Head of State, he reiterated his pardon and solicited the clemency of the people. During a plenary session on 7 June in the National Assembly, the elected MLC deputy Léon Mondole had, in his motion, denounced the unconstitutionality of the orders of the Head of State appointing executives in public companies (SNCC and GECAMINES).

During the debate, Deputy Charles Nawej declared that the President of the Republic signed these orders in a state of "unconsciousness". Proposed contempt of the Head of State by the deputies of the parliamentary group, Cap pour le changement (CASH) and the UDPS activists who went down to demonstrate at the People’s Palace.

These demonstrations had degenerated because the seats of some political parties, members of the FCC, had been sacked both in Kinshasa and in the provinces. The Congolese Head of State, Felix Tshisekedi has appointed on June 3 new leaders within SNCC and GECAMINES. Gabriel Kyungu wa Kumwanza has been appointed chairman of the SNCC board and Albert Yuma has been re-appointed to GECAMINES.
