The governor of the province of Haut Katanga, Jacques Kabula Katwe, opened the construction works of the metal bridge on the Karavia River to connect the Kabula Meji district to that of Golf Plateau, cut since the beginning of the year. This while waiting for the construction of a new bridge downstream, a beam of 14 meters able to support up to 100 tons on the Tshinyama main avenue.

The provincial authority has already initiated the works of development of General Muyumba and Professor Mbayi Laki avenues. The population was pleased with the start of construction work of this bridge.

The governor of Haut Katanga also made a trip to the small market Kabula Metshi installed in full shod. He suggested that sellers accept their relocation to a larger place. He then visited Kimbangu Avenue, a stretch between Cato Avenue, Sapin II Avenue and Kiwele Avenue, which are in very decay condition. He took the opportunity to instruct the OVD to begin the rehabilitation work. The fluidity of traffic between down town and the township of the copper capital is among the priorities of the new governor of Haut Katanga.
