This is an evolution on behalf of the Congolese government, but many remains to be done and it is by pooling efforts that the DRC can achieve a better result.

In the justice sector, there are also improvements especially at the level of the military justice. The fight against sexual violence is not a burden, but rather a factor of development because it allows to improving the functioning of the judicial system, empowerment of women and many other aspects.

For the representative of the Unfpa, prevention is better than playing the firefighter. "We have joint projects because it is by pooling efforts that we can have the most significant impacts. It is prevention and evaluations that have shown that we need to invest a lot in preventing rather than playing firefighters, the UNFPA representative underlined.

For her part, the Special Representative of the Head of State in the fight against sexual violence promises to invest there to fight this evil. She added that it is important to reaffirm the leadership of the government which must do more for ensure the effectiveness of the fight against sexual violence based on gender.

The final recommendation of the Congolese government is peace. Without peace, we cannot fight eradicating sexual violence in the DRC, but also the transfer of knowledge by women's organizations to girls; the woman does not want to see herself as a victim, but rather as an actress of peace and development.
